Her Story

The Moment That Changed Everything

Jen never set out to become a CPR instructor. She was a wife, a mom, a woman of faith living an ordinary life. Then one day, the ordinary shattered. Her husband suffered a sudden heart attack at home. In that terrifying moment, the world narrowed to a single question: What do I do?

By God's grace, their son happened to be there. He had EMT training and knew exactly what to do. He stepped in, performed CPR, kept his father alive until paramedics arrived. That day, their son's training did not just help. It saved his father's life.

In the weeks and months that followed, Jen could not shake one thought: What if no one had known what to do? That question became a calling. She enrolled in EMT training, earned her certification, and gained hands-on experience working in a busy emergency room. She saw firsthand how often cardiac emergencies happen and how rarely bystanders feel confident enough to act.

NextHeartbeat was born from that gap between love and action. Jen launched this business to help ordinary people, the kind of people who sit next to you at church, who live on your street, who care for your children, gain the confidence and skills to step in during an emergency. Her classes are warm, hands-on, and rooted in the belief that when you train someone to save a life, you change not just one story but an entire family's future.
